Seriously, the practitioners who kept going on about the patients’ inability to release toxins - so shocking - they’re taking a ton of supplements a day, so their liver and kidneys probably aren’t too happy! They stay feeling horrible, which keeps them under the care of irresponsible practitioners.
I work in health care, and my experience with psychosomatic illnesses is that there is severe, untreated trauma and an inability to express emotional pain. Some people are more self aware and understand the origin, but sadly, most don’t have the tools.

I enjoyed it for what it is. I have a deep and abiding love of both docudramas and talking heads, so it was a good fit for me.

Don’t worry, I did not know of USC being so desirable until this scandal and I’m from the east coast as well.
I know it doesn’t fit the thesis of this article, which focuses on the ensemble comedy, but I think The Heat is pretty underrated. Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy have great chemistry, and it’s just a nice, fun action comedy. I would personally like to see more women-led buddy movies.
Not only did she survive her son’s suicide - she survived witnessing it. That’s a level of survivorship that I don’t think many could even contemplate. Her fashions never really resonated with me, but as a person I have nothing but respect for her, and my heart is with Anderson and her other loved ones today.
