Oh, I think JJ's deadpan delivery is perfect for this series. Everyone seems to be complaining about the show devolving into "typical" sitcom tropes, blah blah blah…. Cuthbert is the epitome of the wacky, manic sitcom girl. UGH.

I know: Way too late for anyone to care, but I just watched Birbiglia's and had to watch it twice, I was so impressed with the long form, how the random bits formed as a whole. Surprised more of you didn't rank it higher.
