This article is technically correct, but it feels like you're missing the forest for the trees.

Your coin should have had 20 sides, 19 of which had 10000000 on the face.

10000000 is the only acceptable answer here. Mayyyybe Dungeon Raid as well...

I know plenty of parents that bought new minivans in the last year.

lots of people still have flip phones

Yep. I'm thinking of switching away too. My bill has gone up $10-15 in the last year, and they emailed saying it's going up another $5 in January. I called them asking if I could get new customer promo pricing (since I've been off contract for years) and they said "no". So now I need to research other options then

What you probably want is a slightly larger sensor, but more important is better glass. Perhaps with newer camera (with higher megapixels) you could get by with, for example, a 10X zoom and then crop your photos when you want to zoom.

Zooms of any type usually have compromise image quality compared to a prime, and super zooms are even worse. An SLR 18-200 or <100-300 is usually really soft, especially at long focal lengths.

I think this whole idea is silly, because he didn't even put the overlay around the tach. So it already takes way too long to equate revs to speed.

Yes but this is all in the "you can't do this with an auto" thread. And someone brought up that this was true because of autos with high numbers of gears. I am just pointing out that there are also manuals with 7 gears, so that same argument is valid for manuals as well.

new Porsches and C7 have 7 speed manuals. The number of speeds doesn't really matter here for the auto vs manual argument.

Got it. So, for example, this particular case could be a piece of crap, but since it (hypothetically) may have been the only one mentioned on Gawker, it is suddenly one of the most "popular" items of the year [sold through the affiliate program on Gawker]? Understood now. Seems like a silly list ;)

So the readers bought a ton of one particular iPhone 5 case, but did not order as many iPhone 5s? Or were iPhone purchases just not tracked?

no ceiling handles. Although many nice (expensive) cars ditch these as well.

How was this list created? I'm just curious how an iPhone 5 case could be on here and not the phone itself. Wouldn't many more people have bought the phone than the case? Nobody is going to buy the case w/o the phone (even if it's a gift SOMEONE bought the phone), and plenty of people would buy a different case or not

I'd like to know how he takes landscape video in portrait (e.g. the beanie toss clip)

The G16 isn't an APS-C though. I've heard nothing but great things about the X100S, which I was thinking of picking up. Guess I need to look into the Nikon as well.

Is the X100S not in this category?

I was interpreting more as a lifehacker tip than a complaint about breaking expensive chargers. Seemed like a tidy way to keep the cable wrapped to me.

I think you're using that wrong, this isn't really a first world problem. It's a "here's how to wrap the power cord better" tip.
