I bought an 82 320is after dropping out of college with “college savings bonds” I didn’t end up using. I couldn’t afford a good 2002 so I figured the e21 was the next best thing. I’ve driven countless miles in it, been t boned in it, and limped 500 home miles in the middle of the night with a blown head gasket.

Driving Germantown road to Skyline Blvd in Portland, Oregon, as quick as possible in my ‘82 320is until the brakes feel dangerous.

A Hellcat passed me on the freeway in Portland about a week ago and i got a bit excited. I then had a really tough time explaining to my friend why I was excited to see a challenger... ha.

gonna go with the jensen interceptor or the triumph spitfire... because of those killer names.

I have owned an 88 Suburban, a 94 Accord, and a volvo 200 series. My father owns a Mazdaspeed 3. They all share a sort of proletariat solid feel and self awareness. I currently own an e21 BMW 320is, and it is more fun, and better looking, but it isn't quite as Bruce Springsteen.

i saw a 9-4x the other day and all i thought was "there can't be many of those around."

There is no where greater to be young than Portland.

I really think the East Bay is a better place to be young. Oakland, Berkley, etc.

The Grantland article is great. Mad props to Brian Phillips.

^^ a picture that could make anyone love cars ^^

If you can find a good e21 for a good price, you have to do it. I love mine. I have a few friends with nice e30s (also great) but they just don't have the same old car charm.... If that's a thing.
