I don’t really understand the reviews of these cars without context. A huge percentage of these cars are modded within a year or two: People buy them (or used to) precisely for that reason. The b8/B8.5 platform was just a modders dream, the supercharger gave so much flexibility. Nearly every previous generation was

Guys we know you are broke. We get it. There has to be a funding source. I literally can’t take a single more “How I bought a car for $5" “How I kept a cheap car going” “My adventures in $100 car” story. We are car guys/gals not junk car people. We are at peak petrol car; there won’t be another era when we can share

Well finally a piece that isn’t about someone’s $500 car.  That said, 1/3 of the article is about the great interior and switchgear; Not a single photo of any of it....

I owned both an ‘88 turbo and a ‘95 turbo, both bought new, both were awesome cars.  This car is simply underpowered.  I wouldn’t even consider it....

This is nowthe feature I come back to Jalop to see.  I get your budget has changed, but how many “poor guy tries to see value in an old beater” articles do we have to wade through to get this kind of golden content?

Meh, owned both in the 90s, the Supra was the better car....

I worked in the counterfeit detection business for awhile, specifically in counterfeit electronic parts that were finding their way into the DoD.  There’s literally an entire mall in Shenzen China where everything and anything can be bought counterfeit.  It’s all funny until a part fails in a mission critical

Honestly, read a bit before you post. Every generation has denigrated the past car culture as aged and decrepit. Nearly all cars “age out” and become less collectible as those who covet them die off. Every generation lusts for the “nostalgia” of their youth: That’s how malaise-era cars are now collectible. Jesus have

Isn’t “moderately severe” an oxymoron?

That would appear to be a 1 wheel drive Jeep....

Waiting for the old one to post up on Ebay, or Barn Finds....

I paid less for my Buell than this bicycle will allegedly cost....

And BTW I live in this area: The speed limit is 40 mph.

Folks I love Jalopnik. I’ve built dozens of cars, this was well-written and well photographed, but it’s a common rebuild on a common platform that’s covered in, well so many ways by so may articles that a parts kit exists to correct deficiencies. it’s not a nasty problem, it’s a common one

Dude the C Class is the taxicab of choice in Germany. Not so Fancy

Look you’ll hate me: You are a good writer; very nice descriptions (honeyed trills come to mind) but honestly as a car enthusiast this is an empty article. I have no idea how this compares with an E-class or a 5-series. I get that you are really impressed with the car, in the same way I’d be very impressed with an

Look at pretty much every NFL stadium: They are actually FUNDED by tax dollars (in the form of bonds) AND they pay no local taxes...

Cadillac is also offering it’s new “Book” service: $1800 a month and you can drive any high-end Caddy, even a CTS-V or an Escalade, and swap it out for any other model, up to 8 times per year. The $1800 is all in, including insurance. If that price comes down slightly I’m a Book customer.

Smart car for sale: Does NOT run on a bottle....

Here’s the irony for this flat earther: He found his new launch spot using Google Earth.....
