Idris was my first thought—-he was so good in Beasts of No Nation! (As was the lead little kid, whose name escapes me—his performance was heartbreaking). I thought that was a brilliant film.

It did qualify and literally everyone had Elba on their shortlist of predictions for nominations. It’s a pretty egregious snub.
