I will. Cloth seats are easier to clean dust, crumbs, and hair off of because you can just vacuum them. Cloth seats also don’t crack if left in direct sunlight a lot and don’t need to be wiped down with specific non-caustic cleaning mixes like leather, vinyl, and fake leather do. Just vacuum and then spray Febreeze on

15 for a one meal salad or 15 for a pizza that can feed you for a couple of meals at least, its not rocket science

The problem comes if you’re doing this every day. The cheap lunches are typically a pile of refined carbs and fat - eating pizza and other fast/cheap food five days a week adds up. When I was in my 20s, no problem, in my late 40s, I can’t eat that way. If you’ve got time and cooking expertise, you can make your own

In normal times, my co-workers and I worked 12-15 hour days occasionally. Bringing 3 meals to the office is a great way to save money, but a fantastic way to feel trapped, so we’d usually pop outside and find a place in the Loop to grab a quick bite. Always trying to eat healthy and cheap, we built a list of which

Agreed.  I like salad.  I voluntarily made and ate a salad for lunch today, and will probably do so 2-3 more times this week.  But Sweetgreens is...kind of gross.  I don’t get the hype.

I’m not disagreeing, but if they use good vegetables, a decent salad probably costs more to make than a decent pizza. One reason pizza places are surviving is pizza is very cheap to make and margins are better than for almost any other restaurant. It’s aloes the ideal delivery food since it is actually better after it

yep, this is it. i try to work salads into my meal planning for the week or two and buy a big container of salad greens and pick up proteins when on sale, occasionally grabbing decent dressings when they’re on sale too- and definitely keep a stock of nuts, fruits, and cheeses on hand. while i can cobble together a

From mu Understanding JJ’s used to be a more limited franchise do to an agreement when a partnership split up. It used to be that you either had JJ’s or Big Mike’s Super Subs, but never both. This would be an interesting story, and when I say interesting, I mean probably only to me.

Their problem is that they wouldn’t consider eating that same salad for 5 days a week, which is where you would see the cost of individual items spread out.

Waffle house beer, Cracker barrel serving liquor ... I kinda thought the appeal of these joints was that they were where you went to sober up. Not tie one on.

*only served between midnight and 4AM

I think a sausage ale would be wurst.

Hey, so first off, thanks for the tip about ordering pizza unsliced. Gonna do that next time.

Spend $15 on a pizza that can stretch into two meals and easily be reheated, or $15 on a dinky salad that I have to eat NOW or it’ll become a wilted, soggy mess.

Gosh, I just can’t understand why the former is trouncing the latter.

So it’s not a POS (Piece of Shit), it’s a POG (Piece of Garbage). I like it. My main question, will it pass Euro NCAP at all (the crash standards, I don’t care about the safety equipment stuff for right now). Companies have made cars from recycled materials like this before (Im reminded of Chrysler making bodies out

Was this actually a question though?

I know I we all feel good about separating our garbage and recycling. But if people actually knew how much actually got recycled they’d be disgusted.

“They” don’t have to. This is a proof of concept.

Sure they could. There are plenty of Takata airbags just waiting for someone to “reuse” them.

That’s nice. Can they do it while meeting safety regs? I have a feeling the answer is 'Nee'.
