My mother has a prickly pear. When it was ready to harvest she had swollen hands for a week. I stand by my statement, but will hum along.

About gardeners being bonkers? I think we already knew that.
That sounds a good one to try. I’ve a chicken and sage breakfast sausage right now that’s just begging to be made into sandwiches.
buttered noodles and my entire bar cart, here.
☝🏾 I’m going to “actually” you here. Frankincense and myrrh were medicinal. The gifts of frankincense, myrrh and gold were wishing him good health and prosperity.
Sausage and bacon? It doesn’t get too salty?
Ah, makes more sense now, why you think it sounds odd.
Same principle as serving meat with chutney or a fruit sauce, really. I don’t understand why it seems so odd to people when it comes to sandwiches to use something like a relatively sharp orange-ginger marmalade on it, when it doesn’t seem odd to them to eat pork and apples or pork and prunes, for instance.
I don’t but that’s because it’s breakfast. I have other things I’m putting on the toast. Like Jerk Dently down there, there’s always butter on both pieces, but more than that, there’s a jam on there. Usually orange marmalade, or pepper jelly. But I did have an ember onion conserve that was very good. Fig is also a…
You could do a duck. We’ve done duck or rabbit for years, since now holidays are just me, my mom and my grandmother (too many teens and young children if all the siblings are invited.) It’s just enough for everyone to have a good meal and a nice-sized package of leftovers to take home.
You can ask most restaurants to leave out the sauces, along with now being able to ask them to leave out the plastic cutlery and paper napkins. Not all of them will remember (even when it’s clearly marked on your order,) but most of the time, I’ve found, they do.
Yeah. I’m in Iowa so you kind of have to know someone’s mother. None of the restaurants around have very good naan, I’ve found. They may have “adequate” naan, but if you’re already depressed, why punish yourself further?
I can’t get good naan, what with the pandemic and the women I know that make the best naan both being over 70. I really wish I could.
90% of the hair metal bands I listened to growing up had pictures of everyone clearly too out of their minds to even stand up and every single band member had a bottle of Jack in their hand. Some of them would have a bottle in each hand.
I would argue that while it’s not essential, it is a good idea to know the different types of apples, when you’re buying. If you are going to cook with it, you want a cooking apple (pie or sauce.) If you’re going to make your own juice, cider, beer or vinegar out of it, you need a juice or cider apple (these are,…
2 Gingers whiskey, and Haribo Starmix, and we had the same evening.
Mine was along the first bit of this...when I’m too stressed, there are three things I crave: sugar, fat and salt. Best thing for that (that still has some sort of food value and isn’t just junk,) is American breakfast. French toast with a lot of butter and syrup, bacon or sausage (dipped in the excess of melted…
Ah, we’ve found the person that buys candy for Trick or Treat at the Cracker Barrel.
I think it was strictly park and be served, I think the drive through + hop stand came along much later.
The name came about because I thought I had an identity here...but I found I didn’t!
