I’m sure the last line there is pretty much the reason for that - Occam’s razor and all that. But of course, you’d think they’d be given some kind of heads up - a week, a month? Though this just gives me the inkling that however this deal works out, it won’t really be an integral part of the PS5/XB2(?) experience.

His post-GiTS stuff has been really disappointing IMO. Which is such a shame because there aren’t too many filmmakers like him in the anime world (and live action more recently) who elevate the medium like he did, especially with Satoshi Kon passing so young, and Miyazaki nearing the end of his career.

Everyone keeps saying the guy looks like Adam Sandler, or even Ryan Gosling.

That’s probably a more fair way of putting it, tbh. Every individual feature is “off” to some degree, but it’s obvious who the subject in question is. Though, IMO, if you put any other hairpiece on this model, people would have no idea who the model in question would be.

Absolutely!

Other than the hair (does that even count?) that looks absolutely nothing like Scarlett Johansson. Every single feature feels “off”. Don’t get me wrong, the creator is obviously very talented, but this model bears little resemblance to Black Widow.

Loved this game, it was a way more rounded release compared to 6. Glad they seem to be having at least some success with their PC ports of the series, been a fan of these games since the PS2 days. Still remember the dark days of waiting 4 years (Yakuza 4-5) between releases!

Yes it is!

This is actually great news (if true) as I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Switch for a while now. While I’ll obviously wait for confirmation, I’m genuinely curious to see how the handheld works out spec wise, as it would be the perfect companion for the many, many train rides I find myself on. At the same time

As mentioned, there is a pretty much required mod to make the game playable, just google “VTMB Unofficial Patch” and it’s right there. AFAIK the dude in charge of it is still making active updates, which is... quite impressive.

“Balanced”? They were never going to glorify them, were they? A lot of WoW fans found it funny because they can laugh at themselves, or at least at that obviously over the top stereotype that the public had/has. If anything, it was the WoW community that embraced that episode the most. Lighten up!

Damn

To be honest something about this game looked “off” ever since the first reveal. Incredibly stiff looking gameplay, with plain, subpar graphics to boot. The only thing it had going for it was that Yoji Shinkawa was part of the project - at least it has a nice cover I guess?

Yeah I had my fun with it as well (even got the platinum for it) but even though the DLCs were decent, they didn’t really fix any of the problems I had with the story in the main game. To me, all of the secondary media is just a testament to how poorly the plot is told in FFXV - the actual “core” experience.

I said nothing about the quality of the book, pal! I was giving my opinion on the story thus far, which I have played, watched, and been thoroughly disappointed with, as have a couple of other people here and there.

This game is a perfect case study in how not to tell a story in videogames. I still can’t believe how poorly Square Enix handled their flagship title before, during and post-release. Hopefully this book will have an audience, but it just reminds me again of how disjointed and incoherent the core experience is.

Was kinda confused no one else mentioned this. I can get over the art style, but that strange blur looks really weird to me, and it will do nothing but distract me if it’s in the final release.

I thought that was known as a blumpkin?

I’m well aware of the backstory of NV’s development, my comment had nothing to do with the why, more the what. My only point is that all of these games have had shitload of technical issues on day one - just saying to the commenter above that the issues FO76 had on launch are pretty much par for the course for all of
