What about in school then? I was legally mandated to be in school over a certain period - I’m not legally mandated to work - so in that respect, I have even less power in the situation. Are the people I met in elementary, highschool and university crossing boundaries by asking me out?

That’s not why doctors advise that. However, some doctors, like many other people, feel they need to have an answer for everything, even if they have to make it up. Your doctor doesn’t know what she is talking about.

Its not rare. You just think its rare because FASD is severely under-diagnosed; most likely due to the many parents inability to bring themselves to admit their actions caused this - it would be hard to do. Pretty much the only children diagnosed with FASD are ones that are not being raised by their biological parents.

Alcohol impairs judgement. I don’t think that fact is really in dispute.
