I got the cannibal perk in both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Eating raiders, tribals, bounty hunters, etc is pretty useful. There is a 2nd perk that lets you eat ghouls and super mutants too.

They could really go all the way and have a meta plot featuring the writers and producers of this show making it.
I'm sure stuff like that will be prevalent in the future but I think there will always be an appeal to having a story/game/song/experience/etc.. unfold in front of you with no effort on the audience's part required beyond paying attention.
