* I recently found out that the Chupa Chups logo was designed by Salvador Dali and am still not over this

I like it! Like when I’m air boxing and imagining the face of whoever pissed me of that day. I hope they let you keep her too.

No, you’re absolutely right. He is very emotionally closed off, and while it’s very hard for me to deal with, I know it’s even harder on teenager. They are so much alike it’s scary. He needs help too, or anger management, and he’s aware of that. I can’t make any of these things happen, though. All I can do is

Mmmmmm cook for meeeeee.

You drink as much as makes you feel better, and fuck Kristen too. We’ll kick her ass.

I know it. My biggest problem in the whole ordeal is that I’m supposed to only be the kid’s friends, I am in no way to be maternal to them. BF is pretty adamant about that (he’s a fucking stellar ex-husband), so it’s difficult for me to be able to really voice this kind of stuff to him. Whether I’m right or not, at

Thanks for the info, I’ll definitely do some research on that. The kid needs some help and she’s getting therapy, but she’s got herself so convinced that she doesn’t care about anything that it’s hard to gauge whether or not it’s doing any good.

Ugh, YESSSSS. I’m dealing with one of those right now. She’s a total asshole and is causing major problems for herself. But because her mother is a drunk who just wants her kids to like her, and her father (my bf) got her out of a shitty situation at her mother’s house that resulted in said kid cutting, and failing

I don’t Reddit and have no idea how to work it. Can you provide a link, please?

I’m right there with you. I actually asked for opinions a few days ago in the article that Jez posted about Making A Murderer, and so far have gotten responses from one person. It’s really odd how Making A Murderer seems to be staying under the radar.

He was able to successfully claim self defense that time, though. There’s no shot of that with Berman’s murder. I’m not saying he won’t get off this time, just that if he does, it’ll be under a much different set of circumstances.

I agree on all counts. It sort of reminds me of when Caylee Anthony was killed. I was a young mother then, and at the time, I COULD NOT grasp how Casey didn’t get sent away for life. As I got older, I realized that the state aimed too high with their charges. If they had charged her realistically, maybe negligent

Re: the nephew. OMG YES. I don’t even know how many times I’ve screamed at the TV ‘someone DEFEND HIM!!!’. The kid is clueless! He’s not even really present throughout it all. That moment when he asked the cops if he was going to be able to make it back to school by 130, I lost it. He had no idea what he’d just

Oh. You just made me cry. You got to have an awesome dad though, blood or no, and that is everything.

Awwww, I love that! What a dedicated mama.

Not all kids figure things out the same way. My 12.5yr old step daughter is very book smart. She’s also a completely oblivious airhead. Things just don’t enter her consciousness the way they do her 15yr old sister, who doesn’t give a rats ass about school, but is actually very observant and quick witted.

My parents were smart on that front. They didn’t wrap the stuff that was from Santa. Like, he hauled all this shit down the chimney, you think he took the time to wrap it, too?

It makes me happy that you’re happy :)

Those of you that have watched it, what do you think? I’d never heard of this case before reading this article, and based on the information in the comments, I went into watching it with the knowledge that he’s guilty (internet says so, DUH). Admittedly, I’m only halfway thru the episodes right now, but it looks to me

Second time in two days that I’ve heard (or seen) ‘dagnabbit’ when prior to now, I haven’t heard that word in yeaaarrsss.
