I do still enjoy quite a few of their articles, but I wouldn’t say this one is “news worthy”. A guy fixed a dent on his truck, good for him.

IF there is a “full on nuclear war”:

And two weeks later, find yourself being pulled over, at gun point, for reported vehicle theft...and that it’s a vehicle associated with Musk just makes it a double ‘ah, hell naw’!

Eew.  Then I’d have to make a Hertz rental and own a Tesla.  That’s a dookie double dose.

and the critical need to stop the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction

This is the problem. This stuff isn’t rocket science, and the tech behind protecting yourself after a nuclear blast has been well understood for decades. But unless you are a hard-core prepper who has put in the effort to learn how it all works and how to maintain it and survive on your own over a long period of time,

Sssh! Don’t tell them.

I agree with you that the capabilities of performance cars today have far exceeded the ability of even “above average” drivers. I also agree that the ZR-1 (and any “hypercar”) is just complete overkill; most of them will be tucked away in collections and won’t get driven very often. Even the base C8 is more

They aren’t ‘impersonating law enforcement’ as we don’t have Sheriffs* and Troopers here, just like you’d be allowed to drive a German police car marked up as Polizei.

Except for the blue lights I could see doing this on our side of the pond. Oh, and the right hand drive, Oh never mind the RHD that would really freak people

Im not usually a “show and shine” kind of guy. That said, if someone asked me to bring the car to a show, I probably would. I was once a wide eyed kid too, don’t mind contributing to the inspiration of a new generation of gearheads.

watch it be something dumb like Rev4

Those 296 numbers are on a prepped drag strip. It will be interesting to see if the ZR-1 goes faster there. I wonder how much the electric motor helps the Ferrari off the line.

The ZR1 is for anyone with the money to buy it.

My money is on how the power is put down. McLaren has the secret sauce to traction with RWD.

Damn.

America’s 67-year-old-not-quite-retired-dentists who get their fashion tips from Seinfeld reruns will now have to work another two years.

Looks tasteful and nice.

Interestingly enough, These have been catching my eye lately. I think it’s because I’ve never seen them in the wild, then all of a sudden I’m seeing them everywhere. It’s not a bad looking thing, just kinda bland, but they look good in black with the DRLs

I don’t think Shaq’s in any real hurry to get anywhere nowadays.
