1st Gear: But why? What does Nissan bring to the table aside from its trucks/SUVs and perhaps some passenger cars in other regions? In the US all Nissan brings is credit-challenged consumers and outdated cars.

Came here to make this point. This more than any other reason is why airships are impractical.

Is this the same outfit that wants to fly to the Antarctic at $200k a pop?

This whole thing is stupid. There’s almost nobody who wants to pay more money to get somewhere slower. The people who are sick of tiny airplane seats and have money will just upgrade to first class, not book a ride on a luxury airship that’s slower than their car.

I don’t see this doing well. Spain gets super windy and if you’re trying to get from Ibiza to the mainland, I can see flights getting cancelled over it. I run into similar when I fly out of Gibraltar because of the Levante (not the car).

Combining the pampering of a cruise ship with the speed of some other slightly faster ship...

With a kerosene engine, better known as Jet-A, it won’t be any quieter than your turboprop.  In fact, likely a very similar engine.

I feel like “Archer” already covered this pretty thoroughly.

With that said, I think it’s safe to say, that Stellantis has almost no grizzly, jaded, grey-beards left in Auburn Hills. They’ve likely all taken early retirement, or been pink-slipped.
Leaving a staff pool of cheapie interns, first-jobbers, and burned out X-ers who have to manage not only the interns, but a whole

I have a year-old Shepherd-Husky mix. The zoomies are absolutely a thing, and if proper zooming is not accomplished in a timely manner, destruction reigns. She also makes weird, honking noises while doing it, which is baffling. It’s not barking, not howling, not growling, nor any other type of “husky vocalization.” It

Think you’re gonna need to pay the “dog tax” on this and post some pics, if you can.

Ultimately, SUVs and especially minivans (which have large windows) are the ones we can both get comfortable with.”

I called it NP with a couple of assumptions. First is that the engine actually runs and is in good shape. A running, supercharged, injected hemi is probably worth at least half his asking price, probably more. The chassis is probably worth a few grand, at least.

Likely just some rednecks with a death wish, a lawnmower engine, a supercharger and a wheelbarrow.

Starting from standstill, 0-60mph in 0.5sec would generate a g-force of 5.46Gs

The HP metric is just there as a norm vs the low 200 mph limit. Both are ultimately limited by traction/tires. You can toss 10k hp in there but without some silly slicks it’s not going to do much.

I agree. Actually as a company, I would be upset to create a beautiful thing like this, just for it to sit in some Garage or trailer’d to some show and trailer’d back. What a waste.

At 54-years-old there are lots of things in my past that maybe shouldn’t be revisited; I’m not as bendable/repairable as I once was. And then my reptile brain sees this and thinks “yeah, maybe...”

Crashing into something at 45mph while sitting criss-cross-applesause in a cramped metal tub will now be the recurring nightmare that never before occurred to me.

An adult car is the one that just works and requires as little maintenance, thought and extra money as possible, so you can focus on your career and your life trajectory rather than on the fact that your car needs expensive things. What do you value more- a cool car or the ability to save enough to go on an awesome
