I took the bus and train for over a decade when I lived downtown. Now that I’m back in the suburbs and have a car I occasionally use public transit when necessary.

It might have something to do with just how sketchy public transit can be.

Maybe not public transit per se, but...

That’s using your noodle!

It Takes an Army of Engineers to Make a Self-Driving Car Pretend to Self-Drive.

That begs the question, then, surely it would be cheaper just to employ a driver to sit in the car and steer it in the correct, safe, legal manner?

People, when the engineers tell you, “This thing will not work, and I’m not getting in it,” listen to them.

Well, that’s the first time Nissan balked at sending out a poorly engineered product! (I’m not letting spelling get in the way of this joke.)

The remnants of the craft were later returned to the surface in order for investigators to figure out just what went wrong with the sub.

This needs to be a full NHTSA investigation. I am 99.9 percent certain that his wasn’t the only truck so afflicted, which means other people are driving trucks with a similar defect.

It’s a thing. There was an era where I would drive by the Toyota dealership and see the stacks of truck frames as they fixed their own Tundra issues one by one.

It’s funny, I’m old enough (mid 50s) to remember when the idea of driving across the country meant visiting the local AAA office for maps and giving considerations to things like “You won’t find a Porsche dealer in Kansas to fix your 928 if it breaks down”; today you can jump into virtually any car that’s 10 years old

Park on street for now, work a little harder and pick this bad boy up

How is the answer not Miata?

Tesla is a competent car company that was purchased by a ketamine addicted .com billionaire who then turned it into his personal toy.

Day 5? Why would you go from Los Alamos to OKC? San Antonio is a much better destination and more in line with the highways you’re already on.

When did everyone become so boring with their answers? I’ve done this in a C6 Z06, a C63 AMG, a C7 Z06, a 991.1 Turbo S, a Raptor, a GMC Diesel, and an R8, and the Turbo S was the clear winner, followed very closely by the C7 Z06 (manual of course). The Turbo S wins for it’s more comfortable seating, AWD, and more

Gonna vote for the humble station wagon. I’ve done several cross country trips, but the best ones were done in a wagon.
