Yep. Stories from parents impact the kids for a LONG time.

Gets into another thing about EVs. I think VW is being smart. Their commericals don’t talk about saving the planet. They talk about how they normally would be running late and low on gas.. unplug... now we are just running late.
The big thing that I take away from this is two things:
Having a union threaten to hurt his mom likely be good enough for most.
I cannot control if the Cop is going to be professional or not. However, I can control my behavior and attitude. I am more likely to be treated professionally if I am being professional and less likely if I am not.
The issue I have with a cheaper crappier car is that it becomes a crap shoot.
I think there is room for cheap EVs on today’s market. Here’s why.
I mean that’s fine. But it’s also a surefire way to get into a SUV. They handle well enough, accelerate well enough, carry a lot of crap, do commuting good enough, etc.
Here let me help. Skipping to the poor ratings, so we can watch the crappy cars vaporize a motorcycle.
I lived in Alabama for years. Alabama politics are “different”. There are basically 3 groups in Alabama.
They should just give up and switch to Pianos.
So, looking into it...
The big thing about Toyotas now is that they don’t have many fatal flaws. They last well, the drive well, the do life well. They don’t have something that goes blooey after so many years/miles. They don’t have issues with dropping value. They don’t handle bad or ride bad. Little stuff doesn’t wear out regularly.
I was thinking that a 3 pedal car for the weekends and wanted the option to crazy with reliability/cost of operation danger.
Nah, just cut to the chase.
Hmmm. I wonder what Colin Furze is up to now? Has he grown up and stopped being the world’s most British 13 year old boy?
As long as he can park two vehicles. That’s the only place I see a downside. But as Collin Woodard points out, an e-bike is an option if it isn’t raining or cold.
I thought about it, but winters suck up there. Better to tell the car to turn on the seat heaters and HVAC system and walk out to a toasty car. Also, we don’t know what that 3 miles is life. 3 miles in my town is a death wish given the lack of respect for bikes.
5 mile commute?
I think Covid has changed the equation, particularly for the blue collar workers.
