I’m over 300 lbs, but short. I SHARE my discomfort with being stuffed in coach with the entire row.
I had this happen on a flight from Korea to Atlanta. The guy next to me had the world’s biggest laptop and had it on full bright and it covered half of my tray table.
They might not have to be replaced as much as you would think.
I think it was a dog, but I would have to check it again.
I’ve been pretty fortunate. I’ve only had a couple delayed flights, one re-routed flight and no real incidents.
Yeah, stupid autocorrect, knows more than a journalist.
There is some parallels with composite materials, but yes, Wood is a different world in analysis than metal.
Doesn’t keep it from getting wet from a high river, but it does keep it from the sun and rain. It will get damp, but not soaked.
That one needs re-painted. This one is a different year, but the ones I’ve seen have been painted.
Looking at the failed bridge (which is reversed from the whole one), All the Pillars are gone. It also looks as if the water is significantly higher. Finally, the top of the span truss is broken in a couple places. On the leading edge of the airfoil (where it is curved a lot) and also about dead center.

Exactly. Anyone that can afford a CT can afford to pay someone else to do the work that needs a truck.
So LAPD matches the training requirements for New Zealand. Which makes them much higher trained than average.
More I think about it, the dumber it is. The airfoil shape has curves. That weakens the structure for a truss design. Wood doesn’t like curves. If they bent the wood with steam, it might have retained most of its strength, but if they cut it to make a curve so the grains were shortened.. it becomes a lot weaker.…
Yeah, completely different message there.
I would buy that. Be a nicer looking mouse than currently is on my desk.
