80 kg is a big number.

86kg is still noticeable. on say a 1000 kg. 8% or so. Looking up the part numbers would show a problem and if they were looking for a weight variation, it would be (was) spotted.

Shipments like this are weighed. And if the scale doesn’t match the weight on the paper, questions are asked.

I had not heard that before today. We’ve dealt with people with it for years and it has been called Asperger’s almost universally for at least 2 decades by people I’ve worked with. But “on the Spectrum” is also very common, Asperger’s has been used to indicate “just on the spectrum” for people like me. I also know

I knew this wasn’t a real Florida Woman story.

From everyone I’ve heard that owned Alfas (back in the day), that was part of the charm.

I think the mistake is the size of the parts the shipped around. I would expect the stuff to weight around a ton combined maybe a tad more. That extra 146 kg would raise eyebrows. Each part there looks to be pretty standard stuff and it looks like the gold parts were from the motor and the compressor. Wouldn’t take

Being an engineer, I know and have worked with a lot of people with Asperger’s. It’s a mild form of Autism that is very common with engineers and other technical people. I haven’t been told I have it, but I am certain that I do.

The fact is that right now we don’t know. In a year or two, the only Level 3 charging system worth a damn will be Tesla. Well, it’s like that now, but you need a Tesla car to use it. With non-Teslas using it, the demand might go up dramatically.

He had the reputation, which allowed the stock to pump up to very high PE ratios. Now the shine is coming off the turd.

The mark ups are in the earnings. Simply put, the PE ratio is:

My broke and cheap ass hopes that the interest rates will be lower in a 2-3 years when a glut of nice used cars hit the market.  Because, like every day for the last 30 years, I’m only 2-3 years from being in a place where I can afford the good stuff.

My math says things will change in 2025 or 2026.

But where will we send German Tourists to be murdered?

True, but in the meanwhile, they can make profit in a market nobody else has penetrated correctly yet.

About EVs saving the world.

I think of how many people would not plug in their EVs for a week before the storm hit. It takes a special kind of stupid to see your car in a hurricane cone and the gas gage near E and think “I’ll fill up tomorrow”. However, this isn’t a rare form of stupid. I figure the same kind of stupid will leave their cars

I think the biggest thing with why 5 day weeks work better for White Collar is all the meetings. Meet with customer X, meet with customer Y, meet with managers. Last week I had two days where I had 6+ hours in meetings. That left me 3 days to do productive work.

I really haven’t a clue how the charger game is going to work out.  I agree that it won’t be as big as gas stations, but even if only 2% of current drivers need to use one on a trip today, that’s a CRAPTON of hits on the superchargers once the country is all EV.

He had the reputation of a Midas Touch.  But after Twitter, it appears that that has become a Reverse Midas Touch.
