Yeah, and if I could afford to drive it and keep it in good shape.. I wouldn’t give a flying fart that it is a long way from the fastest thing on the street today.

I believe the pump draws from a float now so if there is water in the gas, it won’t suck up water like in the older pumps. If true, this means that you can get crap on the bottom that isn’t sucked out until the level is low.
Yeah, YMMV is very true for you and me.
Yeah, but those were actual minivans, not today’s Maxivans. I swear a new “minivan” is bigger than the “full sized” vans that had badly drawn women with giant hooters painted on the side from my youth.
My experience in Alabama from years back.
I live in the South. Try to enforce that and there will be another shooting war. Big Hair Karen isn’t putting down her phone without a fight.
I keep my tank at a 1/4 or more to keep my fuel pump working. Not sure if this is true or not, but I’ve been told by a lot of mechanics that running low on the fuel tank makes it more likely the fuel pump will suck in some crap it shouldn’t.
Same. I was in the LA basin and going down one of the freeways. Suddenly everyone took the next exit and I cruised along on an empty road for about 15 minutes before traffic started coming back on.
Boeing
Agreed.. but.. Ford and Toyota have been making them for years and the reliability are proven to be as good as their ICE offerings.
I think the Maverick shows a way forward for Ford and they seem to get it. There are two lessons learned there.

Variation. “Manuals make any car better.”
I think it is a very NP.
For me, a used Bolt is interesting. They are too good a deal to ignore ($9-11k after tax credit). Sure, you have to plan longer trips more, but how often do you do trips? Besides I would trust a 5 year old car with 40k miles to finish a long trip over a random used 15 year old car with 140k miles, even if the Bolt is…
Yes. $25k for a cheap to operate REAL car that happens to be an EV is a deal. If it didn’t have limitations.
It’s actually not that hard to figure out what an Old person likes.
