As Scalfin noted, that’s impossible due to populations not clustering around counties evenly. But with the technology we have in 2017, drawing reasonable districts that group people together coherently isn’t that hard. It’s finding someone to champion for it that is the real challenge.

I could picture a legit way to come up with district 12 (a river valley or something), but the arms on district 1 are pretty shady.

If you look at the maps, District 12 looks way more contorted than District 1 (so at first you might expect District 12 would produce the unanimous ruling), but reading a little bit into the opinion, the state senators involved in the gerrymandering appeared to discuss their real intentions for District 1 more openly.
