Critics like to complain about voiceover narration in shows, but this episode's narration gave us Eliza saying "that psychic bitch in Waze."

"Who Killed Scotty?" is the new "Who Killed Rosie Larsen?"

I won't stand for any "The Fortuneteller" bashing. It's one of the show's funniest episodes!

You've earned this, Sheltie.

Aw Alasdair, why'd you have to go and bring up Virtuality? I'm still upset that it didn't get a series pickup.

That's true. Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain worked on Angel and Dollhouse (and The Shield!), and Tracy Bellomo worked on Dollhouse. I don't think any of them are still in the writers room for season 2, but you can still feel the spirit of their work in the show.

If you go back and start from the beginning (and I recommend that you do — it's a very fun show to binge), you're in for a treat. This show is full of dark moments like the ones in this episode. Whenever I find myself asking "are they really going to go that far?" the answer is almost always "yes."

I had the same problems with it that you did, except I'm bad at guessing twists so I didn't see the ending coming, and enjoyed it. Oh, and that one "long take" through the entirety of Ascension was pretty cool.

Usually, I do what can barely be called a skim of the actual What's On Tonight? article, but I always enjoy the ones that Kayla writes.

I also started Siblings because of the recent recommendation on this site and even though I've only seen 2 episodes so far, I love it too. I'm not always into "awful people being awful" comedy but something about that show makes it work.

I think only a few of the writers watch Korra (Sava, Thurm, maybe Alasdair Wilkins?) so that probably hurt its chances.

So we don't get to see every writer's individual ballots?! I was looking forward to that…

9 is a little high, but it's very good. Neither commercial or a network show either.

Good call on Mushishi season 2. I should've tried to find room for that in my top 20.

*tackles The AV Club drummer as punishment*

I've thoroughly enjoyed this bit.

This almost tops your Homeland thing from a few years ago where Saul's beard comes to life.

I think the fact that the previous seasons of Justified were so great is what actually hurt its placement this year. Season 5 was solid, but when thinking about it in comparison with season 4 or 2, I could easily see somebody bumping it down to "eh, not very good." (Personally, Justified is sitting at #39 on my

Not to sound like a TV snob, but I was kind of appalled by some critics' lists. Modern Family is still getting top 5 placements!

Oh, I watch way more than 23 shows. It's too embarrassing to even give the exact number. It helps that I spent most of this year either being in college or unemployed, so I had alot of time. I may have to cut back soon.
