I'm glad you pointed out the show's unnecessary need to explain modern lingo. When I was watching the episode, I immediately thought, "Lauren doesn't know what HBIC means and Amy doesn't know what a meet cute is? Really???"

Jodie Whittaker was the best thing about Broadchurch and Replacement Jodie Whittaker is the best thing about this pilot. So at least it's consistent!

This made me laugh so hard that I've changed my mind on every single one of those opinions.
That's one of the best things about Mad Men. It can dip into feverish lunacy at the drop of a hat.
YES. I don't know why this episode isn't talked about more in the pantheon of great Gilmore Girls episodes. It's my favorite.
Season 4 is my personal pick for the funniest, but season 6 does have what I think is the funniest scene of the entire series. I think it's in "Twenty One is the Loneliest Number," when Richard and Emily bring the priest over to talk to Rory about sex. That scene is gutbusting.
I don't think Marty's actually controversial, but he's my favorite minor GG character (which may be controversial?) so I wanted to shout his name.
I'm willing to admit that I'm a crazy person for my views on season 6.
Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been thinking, "wait, is that Richard Kind?"
Controversial Gilmore Girls opinions:
-Season 6 is a good season…
-…and I like the April Nardini plotline…
-…but I hate "Friday Night's Alright For Fighting."
- Rory > Lorelai
-I don't hate Logan.
-Bunheads is (slightly) better.
-MARTY!!!!!!
Yeah, lots of people are down on the final season, but "Bon Voyage" is an incredibly moving episode.
I'm so touched by this. May you stay forever young, TVDW!!

Ugh, I got that alot too and it was the worst.
All I care about is HADDIE BRAVERMAN
Yeah I'm kind of excited about Faking It. And according to some critics, the first two new episodes of Awkward are decent, but I've already decided I've given up, so it's too late.
Another question: Did What's On Tonight finally decide to drop the royal "we" style or have you just been a very bad boy?
And surely the second most annoying question is "BUT WHY ARE YOU CALLING IT A SEASON 1 REVIEW IF IT'S JUST THE PILOT???"
Speaking of Scott Aukerman not liking dirty material on CBB: I'm all for him having a vision for the podcast, but I feel like he was cutting some of Gemberling's bits off with his "alright, it's not that kind of show" thing. Which is a shame, because Gemberling's character made me laugh harder than anything has in a…
