Boy you really drank the Marie Kondo Kool Aid, huh?
Boy you really drank the Marie Kondo Kool Aid, huh?
She knows we can’t afford that shit. Minimalism achieved!
It's almost too funny.
This is the strange irony behind the entire concept of minimalism living... its somehow managed to turn itself into a multi-billion dollar industry.
Phase 2: The Re-Crappening
She’s just creating a self-sustaining economy "get rid of all this shit, buy my shit, get rid of all this shit, buy my shit, etc."
lol. Who could have ever seen this coming??
AND THEN he said we need to “keep punching” when addressing DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. The audience laughed when he said that (because his choice of words was so bad) and he didn’t even realize why they laughed. He was like, “No! I’m serious!” Mentally, he’s just not 100%.
Of course he knew what he was doing. I don't doubt that given the demographics of the town, he figured he would get away with it. My money is that those charges wont stick because "he's just a kid" "he didn't mean any harm" "we can't ruin his life over a mistake" blah blah blah.
Because when racist police shoot unarmed POC in the back they get paid leave.
Someone must have gotten their lawyer from the bargain bin because I can’t believe that this dumb fuck had the nerve to put his (probably thin as fuck) lips together to form the words that they are friends and participate in the same activities. The latter may be true but the former sure as fuck isn’t true. What the…
I’m sorry, what? What CupcakKe was promoting is absolutely potentially harmful to a lot of her fans. Jameela’s tone was really shitty but her message was right. If she made even one girl rethink trying a prolonged water fast, then I think it was worth it.
Just because she’s a black woman does not give her or anyone else a free pass to promote dangerous crash diets. Full stop. There’s a huge difference between criticizing a person for having an eating disorder vs criticizing that person’s choice to use their platform to promote disordered eating.
Sorry Brandi
I dont see where Jamila did anything out of spite or hatred or vitriol. She was only guilty of maybe rush to judgment. 100% is it irresponsible for Cupcakke to promote a water fast without first listing the impetus for it or the dangers.
Water fast.... ...for a month.
This is absolutely an important conversation to have. I’ve seen the ways body-image has affected my mother, sisters, and so many other black women in my life. However, I don’t think Jameela said anything wrong here. CupcakKe was wrong. As many have already stated, she has influence as well. I don’t think Jameela…
Wow the crowd really hated this take.
I can’t get behind this at all. Cupcake was wrong to promote a dangerous eating habit and Jamila was right to call it what it was, period. She don’t get a pass to promote disordered eating because she’s black. And visibility of calling it what it is, is important precisely because of the ignorance surrounding eating…
All those body issues you had that you spend so much time describing, yeah, CupcakKe is helping cause those issues in other young girls.
