I’m torn. You are correct that there is far more interest in the race for a casual fan, and as a Texas Rangers fan I’m fine with the drama (this year). Still, a one game playoff is bogus and an insult to the team that got the higher spot. I think a good solution would be to make the wild card playoff a 3 game series.
