I always disliked the taste of licorice and anise. However, I once had some ouzo that was pretty decent.

I agree about the kids and that she knowingly became a trophy wife. Whether she is a shitty person or not, and dating, much less marry Trump does not highlight her character, still doesn’t not mean she signed up for being First Lady.

I am not contesting she married for money and security. She definitely knew his past, or most of it, and accepted it. She fully accepted the role and duty of a trophy wife. However, I am saying the role of First Lady, which is arguably more burdensome than a trophy wife, was not part of the original deal.

I would argue that not only did they sign up, they worked hard to be where they were. If anything, Himmler did more than a bit of backstabbing to get there.

My point is that she agreed to be the wife of an asshole and assume the responsibility of a trophy wife, but not that of a First Lady. That wasn’t what she signed up for. It was more of something she got dragged into.

To be fair, he talks a lot about a lot of things, the vast majority going no where. No one really took him seriously nor believed he himself was serious till the 2008 election cycle.

If true, she is smarter than I thought (or has some savy lawyers on her side). She is protected if he goes to jail.

I am not applauding her decision to marry Trump, but being First Lady could hardly been on the table at that time.  

Signing up to be a trophy wife to a narcissist is not the same as signing up to be First Lady.
