The older hotels use to have the HVAC vents by the window. I would toss a wet towel on that. The newer hotels have it up on the wall near the ceiling. I usually do the hot shower with bathroom door open, followed by a partially fill tub (only need a few inches of water) and jury rig a towel to hang with just the edge

The Catholics were on to something when they said,Pride is the Deadliest of Sins”. It is Pride that generates the “holier than thou” attitude and that all means are justified because they are doing “God’s Work”. Of course, some other noble cause is substituted for God here.

Looks like something from the hey days of Top Gear, but with bette rbuild quality. lol

“The existence of two separate armed forces—one for the nation, one for the regime—is a hallmark of totalitarian governments, from Saddam Hussein’s Iraq to the Chinese government of today. The Nazis did it too.”

I don’t need the extra space from a RS4. What I really want is a RS3 Sportsback (aka hatchback). Also not available in the US.

My experience is that trains run into less delays than buses in urban areas(say from Boston to NYC or Wash DC) due to unexpected congestion (accidents, etc.). Of course, congestion is much less likely, can be detoured, or time made up if the route is through a rural area.

One other consideration, and it will likely be very subjective. How comfortable/roomy are the seats and how long will you be stuck in it? For example, I would pay a little more to travel on a relatively roomy train that I can occasionally get up and walk around, especially if it has a snack bar, than a bus.

Just checking that the drives were similar. lol

That reminds me of a Star Trek fan song.

At first, I thought he was trying to maneuver himself so he can jump in the food service vehicle, and doing a bad job of it. Then the loader, with him on it, came barreling into the truck.

Sadly, for some people, their entire world view can be categorized as liberal or conservative. They will go into a diner and complain that some of the sandwiches are conservative or liberal.

That is why I never listen to him. A half hour of Trump talk can usually be summarized in a sentence or two - and with out loss of any stupidity.

Audi has always been considered a luxury brand (of the Volkswagen Group, or at least its forebearer), but below that of MB and BMW. The problem was that they were not that common in the US. Right around the the early 90's MB and BMW quality dropped in an attempt to go more mainstream and boost volume. Just so happens

Just throwing it out there, but a thirstier vehicle travelling at constant highway can return the same gas mileage as higher gas mileage vehicle in daily semi-congested commutes or local driving.

NIMBY cuts through all political, racial and religious boundaries. And as for lawyers ....

I know how you feel and I live in NYC. But, I have relatives out there.

Ideally, NYC should have more “no car” zones (just delivery vehicles, buses, and livery vehicles) for certain traffic dense commercial parts of the city, BUT eliminate the tax on parking lots (which is pretty hefty). You want to the people to drive into NYC, park their cars and then take mass transit. And since livery

I wonder if any of the airports on this list would make it in the top 30 of the worlds best airports.

I knew it was raced a lot, although not the most popular. Note that I said it was not “designed” for racing, specifically because I knew it was used a lot for rally racing. However, its relatively cheap price and excellent handling characteristics makes it extremely popular for SCCA. I use to drive a 99 Neon R/T. ; )

From a fast food perspective, the sous-vide is critical. Someone was thinking out of the box. It adds a level of consistency to the beef that is difficult to achieve under high heat, especially in a fast food environment.
