Technically, “analytical thinking” is more mechanical and involves breaking down a problem into its components and then solves it. Analytical thinking is a critical step in “critical thinking”. Critical thinking also includes making judgements on the information and data you use for the analytical part.

I am taking allergy therapy. Basically, I get injections of what I am allergic to in regular small doses so that my body can develop a resistance. It has helped a lot. This is very different from a seasonal injection of steroids, which only addresses the symptoms of allergy, not the cause.of the symptoms.
