The Jets took one for the team (league) here. The NHL does not want RFAs to have any leverage whatsoever. The first team that allows an RFA to openly negotiate with other teams is going to hear it from Bettman. It's too close to the next scheduled lockout for him to allow this kind of tomfoolery.

I thought it was a fantastic miniseries all around. Certainly there were to going to be decisions made on how to present the story that run afoul of someone’s sense of “what really happened”. I do not dismiss those complaints, those people know far more than I ever will about this tragedy.

This. Bruins knocked a suddenly effective Riley Nash out of the series with Columbus on 2 very late hits. That negated Jackets 4th line, which had been running Chara and McAvoy ragged in their own end. Changed the complexion of the series as Jackets had to send Alex “No Contact” Wennberg out in his place. To complain…
