@BtownDesignGuy: Better hardware than the Wii? I don't think so. And with dual-screens and 3D, the 3DS actually has to render more than the Wii does.

Jesus christ, Kotaku. Just when I thought to myself "wow, finally a positive article on GT5", I open it to find "Let's hope they put as much work into the fun parts of the game as they have this incidental stuff".

@3rdshift: Oh wow, one delay! ITS NEVER GONNA COME OUT AT THIS RATE ;_;

While I personally wasn't distraught about the FFXIII 360 announcement, all the gloating 360 fans really annoyed me. So this is some pretty sick revenge.

I'm gonna go with a MacBook Pro since I'm not concerned about budget.

@Carey.Laius: Unlike COD, we don't get a new GT every year or two. The last full Gran Turismo game was released nearly 6 years ago.

They should make a Pokemon game for the Wii like this. It's totally doable too... the grass can just be some hi-res sprites.

Looks nice. I'll probably get it, even though I'm terrible at Civ games. Civ V looks like it'll be awesome.

@amazingmao: Let's get one thing straight... the trailer != the game. Trailers are meant to showcase the shiny new features of a game, and last I checked, cars aren't exactly the newest feature to grace the Gran Turismo series.

@NoelVeiga: Well, backwards compatibility isn't really a firmware feature. The original PS3s used hardware to emulate PS2 games.

@Neural_Net: I don't believe these screens have the in-game lighting applied... they're just the models as if you were viewing them in an editor.

@Aurailious: Your point? Are you trying to get the game delayed or something?

@amazingmao: I thought it was more Silent Hillish than every Silent Hill game after 4. While it may not have the exact same mood as the original games, I'm cautiously optimistic. It may actually be decent, unlike Homecoming.

@Dr Durdon: And at that point, is the thong itself even necessary? Might as well don a birthday suit, no?

@furiku: Ignorance is bliss, apparently .

@TuxBobble: Well it's better than Microsoft and Nintendo's strategy of dropping all support for their old console, despite releasing new systems as frequently as Sony...

Very cool. Would love to see something similar done with NES/SNES

@Y-bot: I don't think the difference between most games and a select few of them is a difference between being art or not. It's a difference in being good art or not. Saying most videogames aren't art is like saying most books or movies aren't art because they aren't as thought-provoking as some others.

@tim rogers: Turn off the lights and all the dirt is ignorable.

@Athena's Paladin: Well even though the Wii does have some decent games, I think most would agree its library of games is quite a bit weaker than either the PS3 or 360.
