I haven’t heard that album (wasn’t it his final album before his death?) but I have heard it’s excellent.

Tchaikovsky holds a special place in my heart as well.

Garth Brooks isn’t my favorite singer (though he is a really good person), but there’s no way he’s as bad as Billy Ray Cyrus. And I don’t hate countrypolitan. Charlie Rich, Ronnie Millsap, Crystal Gayle, Tammy Wynette, they’re all enjoyable enough. But I much prefer the pure honky tonk of George Jones, Buck Owens and

I would say that countrypolitan is the worst thing to happen to country music, but I’ve heard “Achy Breaky Heart,” so...

To be honest, Superman was always a little over-the-top for me. I like Superman well enough when he’s played as an all-around good guy, but it’s hard to get too worked up about a hero who’s ostensibly invincible.

I think it’s like this: which version of “Suspicious Minds” are you familiar with? Mark James’s or Elvis Presley’s?

Mike James might have written the song, but Elvis’s interpretation is untouchable.

I’ve heard really good things about that Jason Isbell album. I really should get around to listening to it.

Good grief. The only song/album I’ve even heard of on this list is The Nashville Sound, an album I keep meaning to listen to but keep forgetting to buy. I must really be out of the loop when it comes to contemporary music.

Oh well. Guess I’ll go back to listening to Hank Williams and Buddy Holly.

That’s because it’s Toto’s Africa. It works well with everything.

That’s not really fair to the prequels, or at least The Phantom Menace. All of the stunt work in that lightsaber battle was very meticulously choreographed.

I want to try this backed with Buck Owens’ song “Together Again.”

I don’t know if two movies really count as a franchise, though. A second movie is just a sequel.

But hypnotism wouldn’t affect a photograph.

Partially disagree. I do agree that Michael Shur’s shows are relentlessly optimistic (except maybe season 1 of The Office). That’s one of the reasons I love Brooklyn 99 so much. I kinda wish Doug Judy was actually Jake’s best friend, because Boyle is growing more and more unbearable.

That said, I certainly don’t think

How is Hellboy more important than Spider-Man 2?

Well, I’d actually say that Adam Sandler surpasses Seagal in the “not giving one single fuck” category.

I don’t know if I’d call that cartoon illustration a good dodge. Honestly, comparing the *photographs* of Superman and Clark Kent, they don’t look like the same people. Even their two heads are shaped differently.

Oh good god, you did not just say that. Spider-Man 2 is obviously the best of the Raimi films.

This show still has an awful lot of unanswered questions. And that, certainly, is a good thing. It means there’s a huge universe and mythology to invest it.

But I also have an issue with Michael’s realization that humans won’t torture one another for eternity. And that’s the sort of people we’ve met in the Bad Place.

Fair enough. But I literally had to google Bloodline just to understand the joke. I wish their pop culture jokes weren’t quite so contemporary.
