For my part, I don’t think that’s what Lorca was doing at all. I get the impression that Stamets, and not Lorca, is in control of where the ship goes and how it moves. Also, I think Lorca was genuinely surprised as hell when they lurched to some strange place.

Yeah, I’d be perfectly willing to skip at least the first half of TNG season one altogether. And there’s no excuse for “Shades of Gray.”

Naked Time and Naked Now should never be used in the same sentence.

But the reason he’s not in the mood to watch it is the subject matter of the episode. This is an episode that didn’t need to be made, or at the very least should have had a much different script.

Making like of sexual harassment is offensive, because millions of women live with it every day, often with very little control over their autonomy. That’s why this is not just merely an episode in bad taste, but truly offensive.

I agree. No one should have to say, “I’m not a fascist” for people to believe they’re not a fascist. That should be taken for granted unless people speak or behave in a way that suggests otherwise.

John Lithgow is the main reason I want to see this in spite of mild reviews. Dude is freaking hilarious 100% of the time.

Spicer is an idiot, but I’d take him in a heartbeat over the humorless, awful Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She makes Spicer look like a goddamn saint.

I don’t mind the occasional crude joke. I don’t want it to dominate the episode, but in moderation the jokes can actually be pretty funny.
