I agree with a lot of the comments here but last night I had a big thought. Achievements may have ruined videogames for me. I am quite the cheever whore. I find myself playing games long after I've lost patience with them and getting frustrated and cursing constantly.

Somebody posted about Batman's Riddler challenges and it got me thinking. Why the Hell do we have to find 30 pieces of intel/trophies/artifacts/flare in every single freaking game now? I know that this makes the game "longer" so that publishers can say the game takes 80 hours to complete but for me it wrecks the

@jdskeleven: I was kind of the opposite. I found the demo a little mediocre but since the reviews were so good I went back and played it. I liked the Riddler challenges and found them a blessed relief from the "Find 30 pieces of XXXX" that seems to plague every single bloody game these days. #talkamongstyourselves

@Franky_AAA: I finally bought Red Faction Guerrilla. I found it at Target for $10. Alas everyone has discussed it already. The curse of the cheap gamer. I like it and enjoy the destruction I only think it's kinda lame how buildings crumble straight down instead of tipping over. Reminds me a lot of Rampage on the

@ZenGaijin: Metroid. If you have only played the Prime series then people just don't get Metriod. Thankfully Shadow Complex helps demonstrate the appeal of Metroid to a new audience. #talkamongstyourselves

@LucasReis: You can't beat the Virtual boy for ugly. I mean, I can't remember a console that made you look like a bigger jackass while playing it than the virtual boy. (Disclaimer: I spend many hours on my back playing virtual boy because my stand broke too) #talkamongstyourselves

@-MasterDex-: People are getting treated like crap because we continue to buy crap. Overpriced games are overpriced because they sell that way. When people stop buying them the price drops. DLC continues to be crap because people are buying it so why bother making it better. People buy $5 lightsabers for their

Why hasn't netflix started offering games? It just seems so obvious.

@Paradox me: I've bought 2 pieces of DLC and regretted them both.

I will say that I completely agree that we seem so held back in most games by conventions that have been in place for a long time.

@robpe36: Lets all remember that since the game isn't out until mid october the only reviews that are out are ones that have had the NDA waved. This means that only the good reviews come out early. This doesn't mean that the game is bad or the score will come down what it means is you wont see any reviews <80 until

Now if they include a way to bypass my work firewall I think this device will effectively eliminate my need for society.

Well, the work firewall came down like a hammer on friday so I can't post on kotaku from work anymore. A moment of silence please.

Yeah so really Jedi Academey was Dark Forces 4: Jedi Knight 3: Jedi Outcast 2: Jedi Academy. Pretty easy to say really.

I hope F3 won't have as many car restrictions as F2. I hated changing my car for every single event.

Yes this glitch will be fixed but in piracy it's all about time. The longer they can stall the pirates the better the odds are that people will be impatient and buy the game. I'm not entirely sure why that is true but it is.

@deanbmmv: Most valuable is definately my inflatable Loco Roco. :)

@NexusSIX: Eats punks like these for breakfast: Every game site at my work was blocked except for kotaku. Now I just like them better. I still frequent joystiq but I like the community here.
