The ACLU’s resistance to Trump has been brilliant not just substantively (and it has undoubtedly been substantively brilliant) but also symbolically. They have just been so consistently good at packaging their resistance in a way that makes people sit up and notice.

Because his approval among people that voted for him is still in the high 80's or something. These are the same people who believe he won the popular vote, so don’t expect that number to go down any time soon unless he just snaps.
