Empire’s whole timeline makes no sense. Either Luke spent one busy weekend becoming a true Jedi or Han & Leia never changed clothes in the weeks/months it took them to get to Cloud City.

I dislike TLJ for a lot of reasons. I think that it’s a mediocre film and a lousy Star Wars sequel, it bummed me out massively and I think that it gets far too much credit for being intrepid.

Yeah the only complaint (besides the new Han Solo doesn’t look like he can act and has none of Harrison’s Ford’s charisma) I have is that I have no interest in seeing a movie about Han Solo. Everything we need to know about his character’s in the trilogy. Also, can he really learn anything or change in this movie? The

Haha, yeah, that’s something I’ve thought about recently as a fan of the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series. Luke’s development never seemed ridiculous to me, but now that I’ve watched the gradual development of Ahsoka and Ezra (both of whom struggled against the Empire for years) it’s pretty absurd that Luke

Out of all the valid complaints about Solo, SJW-bait is not one of them (and I love that term by the way; what’s wrong with fighting for social justice? I think people secretly use it as an insult cuz it sounds close to Jew when you say it out loud).

My man is right! Somebody should make a movie about Obi-Wan’s backstory. I’d love to see how he met Anakin, watch their relationship develop, then see how that friendship shattered.

Full disclosure, I mentioned “Mary Sues” on here once and it did not mean what I thought it meant and I probably made a few people wrinkle their noses at me. Lesson learned that day.

Obviously due to my username, I was pretty excited for this, but wasn’t expecting much. I will say, however, after finishing it last night that I was pleasantly surprised at the whole thing. The show does a good job of showing Daniel and Johnny in their own terms realizing that they aren’t that different from each

Random thoughts about this:

Re: Judge Dredd, the inclusion of The Angel Gang and what I presume is meant to be Hammerstein from the ABC Warriors was welcome, though I imagine they only made it in because they looked cool.

Piggybacking on this, sorry. From birth through early adulthood, I was groomed to be a pastor in the SBC. I preached my 1st service at youth sunday at age 12. As I grew older, and my biblical studies deepened, I started asking very uncomfortable questions. Particularly regarding, race, religion and sexuality.

Aline Kominsky-Crumb’s warts-and-all style, I think, had a bigger influence on the autobiographical comics of people who followed her (like Joe Matt, Chester Brown and Julie Doucet) than people give her credit for and she had the strongest run on Weirdo (where she championed a wider range of indie cartoonists than

I left the Evangelical tradition after the election of 45, when it became clear to me that nobody believed a damn word of the holy book they claimed to be central to their life. Still a Christian, but not Evangelical.

Oh my god, you pearl-clutching ding-dong.

She didn’t insult her appearance at all. If you think she did that’s on you and you’re buying into what these assholes want you to believe. Her use of “perfect smoky eye” was saying that it was created from the ashes of truth burning and that was it in regards to appearance.

Youth in Revolt isn’t a bad movie, but I sure don’t remember much about it except it was during Michael Cera’s heyday, as it were. What I do remember, as if I had watched it just yesterday, is... you know what. Just watch it.

The Michesota... MGD with ketchup in it.

I finally ended up using mine by taking them to work with me when I had to work on a particularly nasty, tobacco-tarred PC a customer brought in. Honestly, when your computer’s heatsinks keep getting fouled up by a thick, tarry dust conglomerate and it overheats as a result, you’d think you’d have the self-awareness

I didn’t find it particularly chaotic. There are usually around three threads running at any given time. It doesn’t get overwhelming.

Critics can only speak about their own experiences with the movie, man.

It’s not “silly” to feel like this didn’t work as well as it should have. Nor is a negative review “uninformed.” As someone who’s seen the movie, his opinion on the film is more informed than yours is right now.
