I shouldn’t be as surprised as I am given that first episode revolved entirely around a sex prop from the first season, but I was amazed by how utterly fetishistic that story was.

This is actually less complicated than I thought. I figured they invented a liquid metal robot and murdered a man.
The thing that Pixar captures that the other big animation studios haven’t quite achieved are the small character moments and little breathable spaces that give their worlds life. So even if they try and miss for the grand emotional catharsis, the humanity is still present. Luca is almost all those small moment, and…
That could be it. For myself, it’s still a disappointing direction to go in, and one not helped by the utterly dire trailer.
God. Can you even imagine? Amono has such a stylized, flattened look it would be hard to create in a 3D environment, but I think it could be done now. It would be mind-bending to see their work realized in an entire game world.
I still just can’t wrap my mind around the unlimited possibilities of fantasy game character design, the settled on ‘three guys who are totally not allowed back at the Outback Steakhouse’.
This isn’t interesting to adult me, but kid me would have been ecstatic over a He-Man cartoon where things actually happened.
From your mouth to god’s (or whoever the current IP holder is) ear. For my own enjoyment, I did a reboot illustration of Thundarr a few years ago. The show would take to a contemporary re-imagining so well.
For myself it became the perverse gamification of trying to get a PS5. Stock alert, go to site, test those reflexes with the add to cart, fail. Dang! Well, try again.
I like the inverted lapels on Mobius’ jacket.
That’s a swank little Russian choral remix of the Avenger’s theme they use there at the end.
The secret was the ooze was inside us all along.
That was very cool and should also be the entirety of the 700th episode.
Those both look like perfectly fine video games.
I’m not certain what you’re saying with this. I don’t think there’s any condition of alternate Pietro’s origin that would preclude Wanda being suspicious and uncertain. Whatever his origins, he’s obviously not her brother, regardless if he was a rando that Agatha imbued with powers or an alternate universe Pietro. Her…
It was clever casting, and I did enjoy the conceit. The issue is the whole Marvel franchise has always treated each entry like a domino, existing to set up the next step. So they’ve conditioned this overheated response from the audience.
Maybe this will provide Britain the push it needs to give up it’s racist constitutional monarchy and adopt a true racist democracy like us.
I have returned from the future to say you were right! It was really just a meta joke. I personally wish the reveal was slightly more ambitious -pulling in an alternate universe Pietro- but I’m otherwise perfectly fine with them not using him as a backdoor entrance for the MCU.
Thank you. Yeah, I’m mostly just bummed they really chose the path of least resistance. Vision having a logic-off with Vision was good, at least.
It was good fun, but the whole climax did really just discard all the show’s uniqueness for a bog standard super duel. Ah well. It would have been fun if it incorporated the tv timelines more. If they fought throughout the different eras, in black and white and color. Maybe if Wanda had to place a rune in each era of…
