Sure, but do the overpasses have to be so low to not allow buses on them? They can keep the trees, but just have higher overpasses.

There was enough public infrastructure to handle it. In fact, the exact spot where the Dodgers wanted their stadium is where Barclays Center, home of the Nets and Islanders, is today. The same railroad and subway tracks existed in the 50’s as well. Granted, hockey and basketball attendance is much smaller than…
Moses was just a prick overall. He invented Parkways, which lead to public parks. You know why no commercial vehicles are allowed on Parkways? Because at the time, minorities mostly took buses and he didn’t want them at his parks.
I know describing Git is not easy, so just wanted to help with one minor thing... technically they aren’t pushing to the main project- they are pushing a change to a copy (a “fork”) of the main project, becoming basically a prototype of what the main project could be. That change is then requested to be pulled into…
Another thing about DST: do you KNOW how many computer program bugs and hours are wasted programming because of this annoyance?
Also... Get a carrier. There are so many different types- Bjorns, Tulas, Mobies, ring slings... It’s insane. There’s actually an international group with local chapters called Babywearing International where you can try out all the different ones and borrow a carrier for a month
Yeah. I seriously can’t get over the timing. I mean, the movie in the mid 80s picked a date out randomly- they had 365 days to choose from and an infinite number of years.
While standing desks alone are bullshit, that paired with a treadmill or bike is not. I am actually able to exercise a bit while working at the same time. Does it replace the gym? Of course not, but it’s a heck of a lot better than sitting on my butt not getting activity in.
I still think the grossest food is cows milk and I drink it. I mean, think about how it had to be discovered. Long ago, Some dude looked down at a cows udder and how to think “hmm, I wonder what THAT tastes like?”
And the company who built the Bay Bridge is now building a major bridge outside NYC. Hope this isn’t a pattern for them...
I would so rather drive than take a train to and from work. That walk (run) to the train is beyond stressful. With driving, if you are a minute late, you are a minute late, period. With trains, you missing a single red light or getting stuck behind a slow walker is the difference between making an express train and…
If you pay for the box and lifetime service, you are paying about $800 up front. But then you will be paying about $30 less a month from your cable carrier for as long as you have the TiVo. So 800/30 is about 26 months, or two years to make up the cost difference.
Does On Demand anymore with things like HBO GO and Netflix?
Yep. Cablevision is a ripoff. $20 for DVR service and $8 per cablebox. A cable card is I think $2 a month.
To be fair though, since you won't need to rent a cablebox or DVR service from your cable company, that saves you close to $30 a month, covering that cost in two years.
As someone who has had a TiVo for close to 10 years, I can say that it is still the best DVR by far. The intuitive UI, no lag, better guide and other features are so much better than the cable provided DVRs (to be fair, that’s not too hard). Not to mention downloading recorded stuff to my iPhone
I know- it was even worse last year when I went to Europe as none of my credit cards had a chip in it yet and I didn’t have an NFC enabled phone yet.
Yeah, I know- i’ve already seen those. Was just in the post office today needing to mail something and it was a chip only credit card reader.
Yeah it’s already starting to happen with chip and signature. Pin shouldn’t be a big deal since it will be customizable- use the same pin as your ATM card or phone. It’s not as secure as a different pin for each card, but it’s WAY better than just signing
