I believe when you try to return it, the kiosk will extend your time and show you where the closest bike rack that isn't full is.

it wouldn't be every day, though... it would be those drizzly days where it would be uncomfortable to walk.

So something came up just today that is a major flaw in the pricing scheme.. or really just a price level missing- pay by the minute... say, 15-20 cents a minute.

I picked those numbers from thin air, but you get the idea. It's extra revenue for the city and makes a lot of sense to have considering the traffic in NYC. I won't lie... I'm a bit scared to ride a bike around 42nd and 5th ave... the drivers and other bikers there are crazy

And that's fine- you don't have to participate in it, but for convenience and safety factors, I think it would be good option to have.

One thing I am surprised that wasn't introduced with this is a helmet rental program... if I am going to be riding a bike, ESPECIALLY in midtown Manhattan, I want to wear a helmet. Why not for an extra, say, $5 for a single trip or $30 a year be able to rent either an adult or child size helmet as well?

I just use the lid of the listerine bottle as the cup... no standalone cup needed

Please, Anna Kournikova was where it was at!

When my parents first got AOL in 1998, I remember two things- every screenname I wanted was taken or had some crazy long number at the end of it, so I ended up with a stupid one- topkidnum1 (I was the number 1 top kid lol). That and buddy lists, IM's and chat rooms. Like most 13 year olds, I was socially awkward as

The new kinect wouldn't happen to be wireless, would it? The reason I can't get it now is because my av system has wires in the walls going to my components in the closet about 30 feet away. The only way I could use the kinect is with either a REALLY long cable or wirelessly...

Now we will share a lifetime of our fondest memories...

It's more than just a complaint though- if we have a guest that does something to our home or gets hurt where we need to get insurance involved, the insurance would then decline the claim since it's illegal in NY. That's not a risk I am willing to take...

So just to confirm- it is illegal in just New York City? Or New York State? Big difference... I am in Westchester and want to make sure it is still legal for me.

you need to get on that, like, now!

It will probably be a little bit cheaper than this because of bulk discounts- you want to order 72 3DTV's? I guarantee you the company would give you around 20% off.

Great article. My favorite hockey memories will always be from Nassau Coliseum. I remember there was a blizzard one day and because I lived so close to the arena, we decided to go to the game. The PA announcer said we could sit where-ever we wanted and I ended up with front row seats right next to the Islander

That's great, but this seems pretuse useless for Verizon's share everything plan where your data usage is based on everyone on your plan. unless everyone downloads this, of course.

Now playing

I really want a ride like this to come to the US!

I just tried it out and you don't actually need to scan anything if you don't want to- you can do that or verify yourself using the same information they use when you get a credit report or something... last 4 digits of SSN, which of the following streets did you grow up on, county you currently live in, etc.

One request- I am finding it really hard to figure out where one comment/discussion ends and another one begins because everything is so condensed- would there be a way to separate it a little better- preferably with more spacing?
