I’ll agree that the word trauma is way overused these days. But they weren’t just random coworkers they close friends. It’s a huge betrayal and likely the loss of a friendship. That can be extremely tough emotionally. 

Maybe I’m blissfully ignorant here, but late 30s doesn’t seem that late to be having kids nowadays. (I’m sure it’s regional, but I’m not from LA or NY). The culture has shifted and so has medicine and lifespans. Most of my friends have had kids in their early to mid 30s and 39 doesn’t seem THAT much later.

By this logic, they should ban women from drinking and sushi as well, just in case. 

They used to work for Buzzfeed. Had a very popular video series and then left and started their own thing. Now popular YouTubers. I’d say they’re most known by the lower half of millennial or older Gen Z.

They didn’t. Which is why the “I was exploited” claim doesn’t hold. She claims she released the video to get ahead of assumptions that would be made about her, but if she had handled it quietly, which she could have, no one would even know her name. She knew what she was doing.

Looking at it from a pro-life perspective:

Fruit focused beverages? That’s an extremely complicated way of saying…juice. 

To be fair, Quinta wasn’t the one demanding an apology, it was everyone else who was outraged. At worst maybe she was mildly annoyed. But her response here is basically “i appreciate the apology but i barely even noticed. i was busy having a great time.” I think people are projecting their own feelings on to her.

I’m curious to know how much of the general audience was confused by this because it kinda feels like an inside joke between Millennials of a very specific age. I don’t know how mainstream Kenan and Kel were. 

The “Selena was snubbed” takes are baffling. I think she does a good job at exactly what she’s supposed to be doing in that show. But you’re not gonna stand out playing the straight man against Steve Martin and Martin Short.

I feel like that vibe is pretty in line with the cultural shifts about working though. Hustle culture is over, bring on the resentment.
