About the only thing from a Veloster left of that car is the chassis. That has in the range of about 550-600 hp, a sequential transmission and AWD. This is a Global Rallycross car, they go all out.

Not a fake... this guy is a wanker. Access to the pit lane is often necessary to move the racing cars around after being repaired, scrutineered, etc. Nobody expected a knob head to deliberately enter a live race track.
I was there... in the pitlane... and it was definitely NOT a PR stunt. It screwed the race right at the closing stages, and everyone up and down the grid is hoping these idiots are prosecuted. The police are investigating.
