Exactly. This is cyber-security equivalent of the “invade Iraq because 9/11” approach. Just reactionary politics due to fear. And it’s encouraged by the people handling national security, who seem to have this incredibly vapid and self-important view that they’re some sort of ‘vanguard’ against cyber-security threats…
