Our HELOC has essentially been our emergency fund. It’s mostly been used for repairing storm damage and unexpected medical expenses. Three weeks ago we made our last mortgage payment! This latest shooting by Minneapolis police happened ONE BLOCK FROM WHERE I LIVE. This was NOT a situation like Amir Locke—-who in 9 SECONDS from knocking on the door was shot, when Locke appeared to barely have awakened from sleep.

Just a mild pet peeve. Supercooling has an actual meaning and that isn’t it. I know you threw quotes around it, but I’ve literally never seen supercooled or superheated used correctly in any form of pop media. 

Is it weird a president announces this? I get that NASA is a government entity, but seems like he’s getting the spotlight for someone else’s hard work. That is, of course, unless the announcement also includes notification of some alien armada or planet killing asteroid on its way towards us.

It’s so weird to me that people complain about the length. If it had been cut into 4 hour-long episodes, I think people would be fine with it. It’s like complaining that Surfer Boys cut your pizza into 8 slices when it would have been easier to finish 6.

Yeah, I can read and hear all of those things about cookie dough, and it doesn’t matter. I’m still going to eat a considerable amount every time I make cookies. 

Generally articles such as these promote an impractical sterile mindset about food. The reality is that there’s a degree of acceptable filth in our food. Imagine how expensive food would be if it were all perfect or sterilized. The acceptable yield would be so small and we’d have a incredibly small food supply.
