To be fair, the Acolyte is an absolutely abysmal show. Being racist or a bigot is awful, but people are certainly allowed to not like a show, which many, including myself, don’t. And the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes don’t say anything about race or sexual orientation. Most of them just say the show is boring as hell…

I know that this show has always been about as subtle as a sledgehammer as far as satire goes. But the fiction is getting so close to reality that I’m genuinely not sure whether I’m enjoying it anymore.

It is one of the things I appreciate about living in a college town: college radio. I may not always like whatever they are playing, but occasionally, I’ll discover something that causes me to stop and wait for the DJ to come on air again so I can find out what just played.

I have a VERY different taste in music than AVC writers, which tends to be mostly ‘trending’ pop and “Oh I guess you haven’t heard of them, they’re kind of non mainstream” hipster stuff, and very little else. ( ok maybe nots not that bad , but it feels like it to me).

I love the way they’re all like “X moved to Punxatawney and worked in the studio with this producer, creating a more layered, nuanced sound before ditching it all and starting again for truly sophisticated results, making the sound of the summer...” and you play the YouTube clip and it’s all the same old, boring…

So, one season per body, then?

Toy Story 3 was just a perfect trilogy-ender. All of Andy’s toys (and even Andy himself) had wonderfully bittersweet endings, with the chapters of their old lives coming to a close but new beginnings coming. We felt like we got closure but also were happy knowing they all had bright futures.

And hell, Monsters University was perfectly entertaining, even if not as good as the first one had been.
