KIA Niro electric as well. Decent range, decent price, and it looks better than the Kona. I have the standard hybrid version, and the interior is spacious and comfortable. 

When I had my Leaf, they just doubled my registration fee. I wouldn’t have covered the lose in gas tax from me, but it helped I guess.

You can buy a 2017 Nissan Leaf for ~13k right now, and those are the ones with the better battery packs. I had a ‘13 for a couple of years, until my commute doubled. Great little car.
