I was glad that people responded to them warmly and generously, but it still made me sad to see how dependent they were on humans. Just sitting by the road, silently begging each by-passer for some food or affection. And to do this every day, because they're incapable of procuring their own food. Heartbreaking.

While the whole situation SUCKS, and I would rescue all of them if I could, I do take comfort in the fact that the dogs in the video are actually pretty well-fed looking. But I still cried. (I'm surrounded right now by my five rescue-babies. :) )

That's already happened. I think "People" had a pic of her coming out of the pool with a headline about losing 40lbs. in 5 weeks. I turned it around at the store. It was disgusting.
