Obvious question: how did the Doctor and Ace get a hold of a baseball bat? If Ace is going to go off on a Dalek, wouldn't a cricket bat be more realistic given the locale?

Except for the moping J'onn parts, this was a good story. Did anybody else yell "DAMN!!!!!!" when Amazo got his head blown off. That shouldn't have been awesome, but it totally was.

That's not completely fair. Comics were all about the color and exaggeration back when Amazo was created. If somebody suggested an androgynous silver robot in the DC Comics offices, that somebody would've gotten his ass beat.

THANK YOU.

For anybody not into the episode .  . . I reckon bringing in Lilith's blood as the vampire version of Ecstasy bumped into up to a minimum grade of B. Holy crap, seeing Bill riding on Eric's back was awesome. And it looks like Eric might actually play the good guy, thanks to Jedi Ghost Godric. I'm thinking the episode

Almost forgot . . . if you're nutty enough to start with "Batman R.I.P.," you should also pick up with The Black Casebook, which collects Silver Age stories referenced by Grant Morrison . . . stuff with Batmite, the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh, "Robin Dies At Dawn," etc. Basically, it's the balls-out insane stuff that

The Dark Knight Returns works outside of Batman, in the sense that it accompanies Watchmen very nicely. Now . . . Dark Knight Strikes Again? Yeah, that was disappointing, and proof that Frank Miller was going bat-poop crazy. BTW, All-Star Superman? Yes. All-Star Batman & Robin The Boy Wonder? Oh, HELL naw.

David . . . Juggy was part of an awesome story where he was off to grab the psychic Madam Web, and Spider-Man had to stop him. Problem is, his whole deal is being unstoppable. It took two issues, and Spider-Man exhausted every option, up to and including ramming a truck into Juggernaut, and it still didn't work. I

It's not Dr. Strange's fault . . . everybody kept demanding he recite lines from The Venture Bros. So he grew his hair out to shut 'em up.

It is . . . but like I said, the happy ending — Sandra beating dumbass Russell, Pavarti with Russell stank on her — was marred by dumb gameplay on both sides. With the Heroes, it was keeping a gimpy James over proven alpha stud Tom. For the Villains, there was Tyson going against Rob's plan and more or less gettign
