I'm glad the ratings are good because this show could come around as it goes on, and even retro-exposition some of the larger plot holes to make things more whole.  Here are the things going for it:

Also, how did Taylor get the frequency emitting from their house when he (seemingly) was given the news of the frequency and then fixed wing and then they ran out following it to the House. THAT was the worst part for me.

Yup. The range is 20Hz to 20,000Hz (yes, 20kHz).  So it would be audible to at least children. I believe as we get older, the range slowly shrinks from both sides.

It's a littler tamer than that.  Your husband is peaceably arrested over something that she knew had to either be a misunderstanding or a ploy, and is returned to you 15 minutes later with: "Uh, yeah, he wanted to get leverage over me (and alone) so that he could come clean and enlist my help in what is the 'good'…

Hilarious American Dad reference.  I would say "yes, a thousand times, yes" if I didn't enjoy how engrossed I can get in this show. The sudden hysterical laughing would mess with the building sense of awe, that I've grown to love.
