Adam West and James Woods aren't all that odd of choices considering they're reprising their guest spots on the Simpsons.

I don't think they suck. I think they're perfectly fine musicians and they seem like pleasant enough fellows. But I think they are pretty boring as far as music goes and about as uninspired a choice as one could make, especially for this audience. The axis of "interesting" is completely separate from that of "good vs.…

Yeah, Boomtown Rats are definitely underrated. I wonder if Bob Geldof's image as the proto-Bono with Band Aid and Live Aid and all that took away from their legacy, he was definitely better know for that stuff by the mid to late 80s.

I'd guess he probably doesn't want to do that any more. It was a great way to get famous but it was probably also a lot more demanding than doing something scripted.
Very Small Business is worth a look.

Hey Sutter, remember when you changed the lyrics to House of the Rising Sun to say "There is a house in Charming Town?"
You don't think they were making a statement with the Critic episode, do you? That was pure, blatant cross promotion. Plus in season 6 they had people call 1-800-Collect to guess who shot Mr. Burns, not to mention the oh-so-hilarious Do The Bartman video all the way back in what, the second season?
Why does this matter so much to you?
That show is a hundred times better than any of these so-called "bests"
The most special thing about CBGB is that their t-shirt looked pretty damn great on blank generation idols in black and white photos from the day. Plus the awning photographed well, too.
I love me some cable classics and can endlessly watch the likes of Zapped, Joysticks and Hot Dog: The Movie. And at the same time I hold Revenge of the Nerds up to be the greatest movie of the 80s. (Somewhat facetiously of course, don't get me wrong.. That honor really goes to Better Off Dead.)
Sconn, your ideas are intriguing to me and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
You know, I came to this thread because I was kind of offended by her saying she's "carrying the torch for female comedians", because I always get irritated by people with persecution complexes and I don't particularly think female comedians are at any disadvantage when it comes to getting work (if you see less of…
Fox: "It costs us money to run a network and we'd like to air a show that will make all of that money back, and more, because we are a business. So unless we can come to an arrangement we'd rather run a reality show that will surely bring in three times the ratings."
First of all, you spelled "Cop" wrong, and second, it's not called "Space Cop", it's called "Space Precinct". And third, you got the link wrong. Here is the correct link:
