It can be incredibly frustrating to watch older dramas because the creative process was so much different.  The Fugitive from the 60s is one of the best pre-1990 drama series, and one of the few that actually had a series long story arc, but the writers often didn't care much for continuity.

Brilliant show. And perhaps the best series finale ever!

Green Acres certainly doesn't deserve to be lumped in with nonsense like the Beverly Hillbillies.  Green Acres was actually a pioneer of surrealist comedy. In some ways it could be seen a great-great grandpappy of The Simpsons.
