Maybe it helps to think of it as “Shiv” is a badass DIY murder weapon and “Siobh” is too close to “Slob”?

Greg having no clue how to do media analysis was hilarious. “The Pope liked/followed you. Oh, wait. That’s a Pope, not THE Pope.” (This would be me if I suddenly got this job.) Same with Kendall not knowing how to do publicity and talking over the pros.

I was just so goddamn glad this show is back I did not hit “skip” on the intro and instead let that glorious theme wash over me.

The end of the Strange episode makes very clear that he’s stuck in that tiny bubble universe.

They do allude to the evolution motive. In the flashback to Vision-Ultron’s origin, he says to Tony “It’s evolution. Only a primative mind would fail to see the distinction. Which is why you have to die.”

The direction in this episode was really something. That shot of Clint’s sacrifice.

Implied closed time loop. The Watcher exists outside of time and space. So, Uatu is watching Thor romance Jane and Ultron shows up, surprising The Watcher. So he goes back to check on what he missed which brings him (and by extension, the multiverse) to Ultron’s attention. Which leads to Ultron invading the multiverse

ULTRON BIT A GALAXY!!

This was probably my favorite darker What If episode so far and actually managed to make MCU!Ultron work for me. I think while the Avengers 2 Ultron was kind of bland, his approach does manage to make him a suitable Multiverse level threat. The motivation required is there.

Was that him eating a planet? Looked to me like he was biting a whole damn galaxy. Either way, they’re definitely putting giant biting faces into our minds to seed the ground for FF. Meantime, I’m just looking forward to getting a better look at Celestials in Eternals.I want titanic Kirby people. My eyes just soak

The Endgame stones are all from the same timeline. Bruce Banner made a deal with The Ancient One to return the stones to their locations, in order to preserve the timeline.

Yeah, the Infinity Stones the Avengers collected in Endgame were from other timelines, and they worked fine.

I come to read these articles specifically to get my enjoyment stomped on.

Uatu begging Clint to find the Zola file kind of reminded me of this 1 page story from Marvel #1000 written by JMS...

No mention of the fact that this Ultron is straight-up Galactus? Like, doesn’t just resemble him, but grows to gigantic size and literally eats a planet?

RIP Joe Siravo.

[We see the aftermath of a horrible car crash from above, with a man standing next to the driver’s side window of a smashed-up SUV. We slowly move in and recognize Tony Soprano as he holds his hand over Christopher Moltisanti’s nose and mouth, and watches as Christopher suffocates.]

So was his dad. I saw an interview with him once and was like “Shit, Kevin Finnerty was his real voice?!”

Shame about it.

That is about as good as it looked to me.
