Yep, this is the correct interpretation I think the show is trying to convey. He’s a power keg without much to lose at this point. And he’s a good character because he could plausibly have a turn for the better or the worse and either could work.

Minor pet peeve, but these Planet of the Apes movies might as well just all have the same title. There’s nothing that distinguishes the series chronologically. Good point re: the soundtrack - however, I believe the use of Vide Cor Meum - an absolutely epic piece of opera - is very worthy of “Kingdom of Heaven,” even more so than “Hannibal.” 

I remember learning how to play that song on guitar. The musical idea behind the song is not bad, it’s just a shame they decided to go cheeky with it and pair it with NWA’s lyrics.

Alien Ant Farm’s cover was PERFECT for the time it was released. It’s a fun capsule of nu-metal pop that pretty much everyone enjoys. That’s not a bad cover. Dynamite Hack’s “Boyz N the Hood” does this same thing but...not as well.

I hope we get more Damien Darkblood. Love that character.
